There are academic internship opportunities available in London, which require an application. NYU London has partnered with EUSA, a non-profit organization that works with universities and colleges to provide students with internship opportunities in Europe. If accepted into the program, students will work with EUSA to find and accept an internship placement. This for-credit program offers a 16 hour minimum a week experience with a required weekly seminar for a total of 4 credits. For more information on the process and opportunities, please see here.
Please note that the internship program in London is very competitive and acceptance into the internship program is not guaranteed. The deadline to apply for an internship is Friday, October 7 (11:59pm ET). You will then be notified regarding admission by Monday, October 17.
Note: Students are not permitted to intern or work (paid or unpaid) in the UK without a Tier-4 visa, unless they are the holder of an EEA or Swiss passport. A Tier-4 visa costs approximately $600 USD, plus any applicable shipping and expedite fees. NYU does not arrange non-credit internships, but there is an extensive Community Service program students can join.
